He was born in İstanbul on 30th April, 1970. His father was an actor and a musician. Halit Ergenç had worked in several areas as a computer operator, a marketing expert, a dancer, a vocalist etc... The year 1996 was the beginning year of his acting in tv series. First, he had played in Karamelek, after Böyle mi Olacaktı, in 2002 he shared the leading role with Ece Uslu in Zerda. There was a tv series called Aliye which he played together with Sanem Çelik and Nejat İşler. He is very talented actor because he showed himself in theather and in cinema. His two cinema project Babam ve Oğlum in 2005 directed by Çağan Irmak, Devrim Arabaları in 2008 and Dersimiz Atatürk in 2010. When talked about the tv series Binbir Gece attracted the audience’s attention, he was in role of businessman named Onur Aksal. In that job, he met with Bergüzar Korel, his current and second wife who is Turkish actress, their boy’s name is Ali. Halit Ergenç has a successful job life and happy family. Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century) was a quality project, he got the chance to play as a role of Ottoman Sultan, Kanuni.  He received two awards from Golden Butterfly in 2006 and in 2014 for Best Actor.
